September 27, 2023: A Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) has been prepared to document the existing environmental conditions, potential impacts of the undertaking, required mitigation measures and commitments to future work, as well as consultation activities. The 30-day public review will start on September 28, 2023, and close on October 27, 2023; all comments can be submitted through the Contact Us form or directed to the people on the Contacts page. Project Overview
The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) is undertaking a Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for the conceptual design of a new interchange around the intersection of Highway 416 and Barnsdale Road in the City of Ottawa. Below is a key map of the Study Area.
Morrison Hershfield Limited was retained by the MTO to complete the Preliminary Design and Class EA Study for this assignment. Reasonable alternatives to address the required improvements will be developed and evaluated leading to the selection of the Preliminary Preferred Alternative(s) and a Recommended Plan for the interchange.
